Our Story

Farm Fresh Direct was founded in 1999 in Monte Vista, CO as a company of multi-generational family potato farms. Growers are located throughout Colorado and are dedicated to growing fresh, healthy, delicious food. We work together to provide premium, quality, year-round supplies and excel in today’s fast changing retail, foodservice, and consumer environment.

As careful stewards of the land, our fields have nourished families for more than three generations. Chances are we have provided great tasting potatoes for your family as well.

In a short 20 years, we have become one of the largest fresh market potato providers in the U.S.A., and we have partnered with and have member growers across the country. This had facilitated us becoming one of the largest grower owned shippers of fresh potatoes, both conventional and organic. We are proud we have been able to grow this way and we are still growing strong by responding to today’s ever changing consumers, their need for convenience, and their desire for more organic choices. We were the first to introduce the individually wrapped microwave potato, and we are still the category leader. We have expanded the Express Bake™ convenience line to include organics, steamer trays and sweet potatoes. We also realized early on that organics were a trend not a fad, and began an aggressive plan of certifying our land and our facilities. Our commitment to organics continues as we strive to increase our production and offerings of affordable organic potatoes.
